APPROPRIATE OUTDOOR GEAR
With 2 field studies in the books, we are excited to continue going outdoors as a Kindergarten team.
Please remember: Calgarys weather is very unpredictable and our harsh winter weather is fast-approaching.
Your child needs to come dressed in outdoor gear that will keep them warm and comfortable during our field studies. Below is a document you mind find helpful when preparing your child for the weather:

SNACK TIME
Because snack time is only 15 minutes long, we ask that you refrain from packing too much. 1-3 simple snacks are just the right amount to keep your little one fueled for our day. If your child attends after-school-care, please have a conversation with them about what they should eat during Kindergarten and what they should be saving for daycare.

ABSENCES/VACATIONS
Thank you for letting us know if your child is ill, has an appointment or is going on an extended vacation. Many of you have been great at emailing us a few days before an absence. Please also ensure you email or call our office, as they are in charge or entering attendance online and calling parents should a child be marked absent. Our secretary's email is: [email protected] . You can also call the office at 403-777-6280.

TOYS IN CLASS/SHARING
Please have a discussion with your child about leaving toys at home, as we have had a recent surge of students bringing toys to school and then, unfortunately, losing them. If your child would like to share something from home, we encourage them to do so as long as it is something we are learning in class. For example, if they went home and experimented with how to sketch like a scientist, they could bring their sketch to school and share the process.
